The Power of an Email Funnel

If you’re like most small businesses, you have an email collector. Maybe you use it occasionally; maybe it's just filling your inbox and your head with anxiety about what to do with all these email addresses. You’re not really sure how to utilize an email list to its full benefit, and you don’t have the time to mess around for hours trying to figure it out. Sound familiar? In just a few short minutes, I can teach you the benefits of an email funnel, and what it can look like.

What is an email funnel?

An email funnel is a series of emails sent spaced a certain number of days apart, that motivate potential customers to make a purchase. Funnels achieve this by building familiarity and excitement for your brand and business over time.

Why should I create an email funnel?

Email funnels build trust for your brand. Funnels are personalized toward your audience and help them feel like they know you and that you know them. People like to purchase from people they know and trust.

What does an email funnel look like?

A basic email funnel will have 5-8 emails. The first, a welcome email, will establish who you are and let the reader know what to expect coming up. 3-5 emails with information about your company, products, and services will follow. You may also allude to something special coming later. In the second to last email, you will send an offer. This should be something that has a limited time attached to motivate customers to visit your store or make a purchase. The final email will be a reminder that time is almost up. Many times, people are motivated by a deadline. Think procrastinators!

An email funnel can be a great way to increase enthusiasm for your brand and keep you in the minds of your potential and loyal customers alike.
